Leisure Time/KOA/Thousand Trails Etc.

Anybody thought of using one these national RV/Camping memberships as a bugout option? I took my family camping last week and used the family membership to stay in one of these resorts for the first time. I was surprised at the number of RV's there that looked like they were there for the long term. I see some resorts let you stay 6 months at a time, then you need to move to another resort where you could stay another 6 months, then repeat the process. I don't have an RV and used a tent with no problem. My site had electric and water and a fire ring, and the resort itself had a pool, showers, various sport courts, and a clubhouse/restaurant so it was pretty deluxe camping. I allowed myself to think about dropping out entirely and using these resorts all across the country. It's not my first or second choice of bugout plan, but it could be my third. :565:

Interesting thought....what is the membership/recurring fees associated with these?

I'ver never stayed at them - gone by plenty of them...would be an interesting way to spend a year or two though ...if the price is right....
